A Fairytale Romance

I'm sure I'm not the only one who watched this morning's coverage of the Royal Wedding while getting ready for work.  Here are some of my favorite photos of the ceremony from CNN:

I don't know about you, but I loved her dress!  I think she created a modern look that remained classic and elegant all while following the rules of propriety and was vaguely reminiscent of Grace Kelly.  Now for the other thing I was waiting for... People Online had a great spread of the Hats of the Wedding!  Hats off to Philip Treacy for being the most chosen topper!

Style Lust: Simple Statements

While browsing Fashion Gone Rogue, I stumbled across Massimo Dutti's May 2011 Lookbook featuring Juju Ivanyuk photographed by Gemma Edo.  I love the simplicity of the outfits that are still surprisingly impactful.  They use this summer's hottest colors quite effectively, don't you think?

 

 

 

 

 

While I enjoy all of them, I think the washed red denim and stripe shirt/blazer combo are my favorites!  Which do you like best?

Daring Beauty Trends

Well, I returned from the sun & fun of Southern Florida to the doom & gloom of the Midwest... seriously, will it ever stop raining??  To keep my spirits up, I think I'll try a few of the following beauty trends that I'm loving right now.

Lustworthy: Lace for Less

I was so pleased back in the Fall when lace was forecasted to be the hottest fabric for Spring/Summer '11.  Lace is a great feminine detail that is delicate and beautiful.

DIY: Chain Bracelet

I saw.  I liked.  I made.

Instead of buying a new bracelet, I refashioned some broken old necklaces into a multi-strand bracelet using a pair of pliers!  I've already gotten compliments on it at work!
