DIY's To Do

When the weather is as gloomy as is it today (it rained & snowed within a matter of 5 minutes so who can keep up?), I'm reminded again by the pile of DIY projects I've been meaning to do.  DIY's are the perfect thing to keep yourself occupied on rainy/snowy days, don't you think?

Dreaming of LA...

Last week, I found out that I was going to LA for a business trip... since then, I've been dreaming of fun, sun and, of course, Santa Monica pier.  Even with everything else going on at work this week, I can't get my potential wardrobe out of my head.

I've been really wanting to try the colored twill bottoms that are popping up everywhere.  The problem is, I just haven't been thoughtful enough to determine how I would wear them.

Post Superbowl Sunday: Beer Dip

For an easy, crowd pleasing snack, try Beer Dip at your next get together.  Simply combine two 8 oz packages of cream cheese (softened), a packet of ranch dressing mix and two cups of shredded cheddar cheese.  After you've combined these ingredients, add 1/3 cup of light beer (dark or "flavorful" beers tend to give an odd taste so stick with something light!) and continue mixing.  Refrigerate for at least three hours and enjoy with pretzels!

DIY Day: Good Luck Card

A friend of mine recently took a risk and interviewed for the police academy.  Naturally, this was the perfect time for me to try my new stamps I found at Michael's a few weeks ago.

Wednesday Wishes: A Touch of Lace

From dresses to shorts, lace is expected to be everywhere this spring, and I cannot wait.  There's something so feminine and delicate about lace.  Paired with a structured blazer or masculine top, this fabrication is sure to be a staple in my wardrobe.
